Itinerary!

Medsin NE/Scottish Regional Day- Climate Change Action 2010

Saturday

10.45am - Assemble at Newcastle Medical School
11am - Set off on bike ride to Tynemouth
The bike ride is not a difficult one, but if you dont feel like cycling there is a regular metro service. It would be great if you could all try and wear green, to make photos look exciting!
12.30pm - All arrive and congregate on Tynemouth beach

1pm - Grab some lunch on the seaside and play some games
2pm - Set off back to Newcastle

Once back in Newcastle we can have a few hours to be at home, shower and get ready for the evening's festivities!

5.45pm - Back in the Medical school, David Shaw Lecture Theatre for an evening of Climate Change talks *Theme - 'Action on climate change - how, why and when?'*
Talk by Mustafa Abbas, co-ordinator of Healthy Planet 

7pm - Watch 'The Age of Stupid' 
*Food and wine will be provided to enjoy during the film*





9pm - Vacate the medical school and head into toon!

Are you  from out of region?

-Book train tickets asap! And remember - you can ring national train companies in advance to book a space for your bike!

- Let us know by Feb 15th if you require accommodation for either Friday 26th or Saturday 27th. (email elizabeth.hall88@googlemail.com)

- Let us know if you need a spare bike - we may have a small number of spare bikes if you don't have one or can't borrow one from a friend!

- You're more than welcome to make a proper weekend of it - there are plenty of Newcastle folk happy to show you the sights on the Sunday!
